Abstract
We survey the bidirectional relationship between AI and blockchain-based technologies, addressing what AI can do for crypto and what crypto can offer AI. The survey systematizes existing research, identifies key insights, poses unanswered questions, and addresses industry misconceptions. We find that AI and crypto are still in the very early stages of meaningful integration.
